Smena 8m, looks like a toy but it isn't

I already had a Smena 8m but needed an extensive shutter repair, so when I came accross this brand new camera with case and manual I gave the 5 euros to the street seller in order to try it.

It is a cheap simple all-plastic camera with only manual controls. The aperture starts from f4 and is set from a ring in front of the lens that also sets the film speed in ASA/DIN. The user selects the film speed used and the aperture stays fixed. Then the shutter speed is set by symbols - rainy, cloudy, sunny, very sunny.
The lens has a focal length of 40mm -not very wide - and focussing is done with a scale ring that has distances in meters and symbols- portrait, groups, landscape.

The shutter needs to be cocked by a lever and then the user presses the top button to take the picture.
This kind of easy system proved to be successful in simple picture taking and the lens proved to be very sharp.

Here are some samples with a Fuji 100 ASA film
