Canonet 28, a very good rangefinder camera.

This is a high quality rangefinder from Canon from the 70s. It has the 40mm/f2.8 lens, thus its slower than the top of the range Canonet 17.It is an automatic camera that chooses aperture and shutter speed by itself. The only manual settings are the 1/30th sec speed for flash and the aperture settings from f2.8 to f22.
Focussing is done by turning the lens and combining the two images in the viewfinder into one. In the viewfinder there is only an indicator for the shutter speed selected by the camera but not of the aperture.
This is a full automatic camera that does not allow for full control from the user. If shutter speed needs to be longer than 1/30th sec the shutter locks and cannot take the picture. The only alternative is to change the ASA sensitivity selector and underexpose the picture.
With the help of some aluminum foil I managed to put two 1,4V battery cells for hearing aids, their voltage is close to the 1,3V of the original and discontinued mercury cells.

To my surprise the camera delivered excellent pictures.
Here are some results
