1st film with the Kiev

First film roll from the Kiev 4, scanned Fujicolor 200 ASA, I like it!
with the Jupiter 8m 50mm/2

and the Jupiter 9 85mm/2

Kiev 4 rangefinder

1959 Kiev 4 rangefinder camera with a Jupiter 8M 50mm/f2 lens, Soviet Contax clone.
Bought it backless for 10 euros in summer. I found a Jupiter-9 85mm/f2 for 50 euros but I failed to convert it for the EOS. So, with 2 lenses for the Kiev I've searched for a back. I found one last week and paid 20 euros.
Now I have a complete camera. Loaded a film but discovered that it's very hard to take pictures with it.
The viewfinder is a tiny slot and shows the 50mm perspective, focusing is easy only when there is a lot of light or enough contrast. Depth of field is not viewable. I must guess the picture width when using the 85mm. Also needs a special hold with two fingers, the Contax hold. A lightmeter is needed for the determination of correct exposure.
But it has that vintage look!

Chaika 2M

Chaika Russian half frame, found dripping on a rainy day at the flea market for 5 euros. Broken shutter leaves though, the Industar lens is removable but can not be fitted in any other camera.

Put the lens handheld in front of the EOS. Usable only for macro.
Detail of top

At f16 it's sharp

Photosniper and Canon EOS XTi

Some pics with the Tair 300mm lens on the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi mounted on the Photosniper.

Zenit Photosniper

Bought a Zenit PhotoSniper at the flea market. The seller, a Russian, asked for 120 euros, I offered 50, he wouldn't accept less than 70euros. It's a '79 model, with the Zenit EC camera, a Tair 300mm/4.5, a Helios 44-2 58mm/2, filters, caps, gun, all in a metal box.
They say it was KGB's camera! I say it is very heavy but easy to focus, put it on the EOS, it is a decent lens for shooting airplanes or wildlife, for short time, weights more than 1,5 kg.
And don't use it near people around!

Revueflex 5005

My Revueflex 5005 SLR.
It has a big bright viewfinder with a light meter, works in automatic aperture priority mode. Accepts M42 auto lenses. Focusing on the viewfinder is very very easy. The camera stops down the lens at the aperture set on the lens the moment of the exposure.

I found it at an old stuff shop in the flea market. I wanted only the 50mm/1.4 lens, but the owner wanted 20 euros for the camera-lens so I settled it down at 14 euros and bought the camera.
Inserted a battery and works fine.Needs further cleaning also.

1st film with the Olympus Pen EE-S

here are some photos from the Olympus Pen EE-S half frame. Under bright daylight they came out overexposed and needed PP. Flash shots were fine btw.
Fujifilm 200 ASA developped and scanned

Olympus Pen EE-S

Olympus Pen EE-S, 1962. Bought it for 10 euros. I opened the top case and the front lens.It only needed a spring back in place for the winding mechanism and some oil in the aperture blades. Followed instructions from the Net. The camera is automatic using a selenium meter to decide of the aperture setting. No need for batteries though. It has two shutter speeds, 1/40 and 1/200 sec. Now it works fine but many times the photos come out overexposed.

Praktica Nova

Praktica Nova, around 1965. Manual focus, manual exposure. In very good working condition with a crappy Carenar 35mm lens.
Bought it at an antique shop for 20 euros after a lot of bargaining. I liked the 60s design...

Dacora Digna camera

Dacora Digna circa 1956
Medium format (6X6, 120film) point and shoot camera. Bought it at a stall for 5 euros.
Cheap camera with a retractable lens, only 2 apertures (8 and 11), one shutter speed (plus bulb) and focusing by distance ranges.
It still works but I think it was very unreliable in picture taking.
