More from the Rollei Sportsline 62

More samples

and some pics with the macro setting:

Rollei Sportsline 62

This is a modern digital camera that is waterproof to 3 meters. I have not found much information about it and decided to put a description in the blog.
After my failed attempts with the yellow plastic underwater camera and the faulty Minolta weathermatic camera I bought a cheap digital camera.
The Rollei 62 has a fixed 35mm/f2.8 equivalent lens which is fast enough. There is a button that makes the lens suitable for macro from a distance of 11 to 18 cm. It also has two LCD screens, one in front the other on the back, that allow for self portraits. And of course is waterproof down to 3 meters.

Picture quality is not great but is fine for underwater shots.

Zenit E, 25th congress of USSR's communist party

Bought a Zenit E with the small Industar 50mm/f3.5 lens for 10 euros. I already have one but this camera celebrates the 25th congress of the Soviet Union's Communist Party.

Pouva Start

The Pouva Start comes from the Former East Germany. It's an attractive simple bakelite camera. Uses 120 film for 6x6cm pictures. There are two aperures (Sunny - Cloudy) and two shutter speeds (1/50? and Bulb).
There was film in it and turned out to be a color film developed by the lab in B/W chemicals? anyway the last two shots that I took were the only ones to be legible.
The camera ready to take pictures:
The last two shots of the film

Steinheil 2nd film

I tried with a Kodak Tri-X 400 ASA B/W film. I overexposed some pictures and the negatives came out very dark. Then, I photographed the negatives and used a preset in Lr3 to convert to positive.

and an accidental double exposure:

Photos from Agfa Optima

I had the first roll processed and found that half of the images were not recorded. I opened the camera to find out that while pressing the button everything seemed to work fine, but the shutter did not open most of the times. After a hundred clicks it seems to work now, I must check it later.

the scanned samples:

Agfa Optima 1035

The Agfa Optima is a nice designed camera from the seventies. It has a 38mm/2.8 lens and a big, bright viewfinder. It is fully automatic, therefore battery dependent. A green led in the viewfinder indicates that it is ok to take a picture, a red led indicates risk of handshaking but allows the shutter to open.

Kodak Instamatic

I paid 1 euro for this cute but beaten up Kodak Instamatic Camera. I could use it if film for this camera was available.

Canon Canonflex

Canon's first SLR camera. It's big and impressive.
I found it with the normal 50mm/f1.8 lens and a 85mm/1.9 lens.
The 85mm lens is from the Canon rangefinder cameras, without a focusing helicoid. At the time Canon put those lenses on an adapter for their 1st SLR the Canoflex. The adapter has a focusing helicoid with an R mount that is similar to FD mount.
I have shorten the working distance a lot, by fabricating a brass coupling thread for the adapter, now I can focus to infinity to use it on the EOS.
I can use a Maginon and a Leica 90mm projection lenses with this adapter.
