more from Vivitar PN2011 with colour film

Some more samples from the Vivitar PN 2011 and the 200ASA Fuji film.

Scanned by the photo lab and some enhancements, mainly raised blacks and warmed colours.

Agfa Optima Ia

This was the first auto program camera. aperture and shutter speed were selected automatically by the camera, while other cameras of the time would select the aperture automatically and a fixed shutter speed.
I paid 7 euros for this camera but unfortunately the selenium meter seems not working and I can't disassemble the front element to check the shutter mechanism.

Vivitar PN2011 with colour film

I tried again with the Vivitar PN2011, this time I used a 200 ASA film.
With the 200 ASA I managed to have correct exposures at daylight and cloudy conditions, slight underexposure in open bright shade.
The 28mm lens and the 1/125th help taking pictures with the camera into my palm at waist level.

Eho mini box camera with color film

I tried using a 100 ASA color film with the Eho box camera. There is one shutter speed, around 1/50th sec I guess and bulb, plus two apertures f11 and f16. At the time of shooting i thought the speed was 1/30th but many poses came underexposed, so I think 1/50s is a proper estimate.

In bright sunlight with the f16 aperture

At night with the B setting, shutter stayed open around 15 seconds.

I got underexposed pictures just around sunset, when I thought that with 1/30 speed I would get a correct exposure.

and I got some light leaks - reflections from the shutter when I tried a contre jour picture

Action Man Camera

A camera hidden into the action man figure, Takes 110 film and has a single shutter speed and a single aperture. Composition of the picture is done from the back of the figure's video camera.
I must put some Lomography film in it and try it, it must be fun!

More with the Dacora Super Dignette

The camera is big but is also relatively slim, it can fit in my coat pocket.

This time I tried in sunny weather, I got better results.

in a dark alley, focusing close, the high sensitivity film permits smaller apertures.
with flash, it is sharp

and some night exposures at the Olympic Stadium, with a lot of grain.

Dacora Super Dignette

I found it in bad condition in a store and bought it together with two other cameras. I repaired the leatherette, the shutter needed a good cleaning and after a good wiping the camera was fully operational. The selenium meter is working fine, there are two needles on top of the camera and two  in the viewfinder, one for the meter and one for the camera settings. By moving the shutter speed dial and the aperture ring the two needles must coincide for the correct exposure.

The camera has a top ISO 800 setting, so I loaded a Fuji 800 film to check it.
The shutter release button is on the front. The camera is very quiet, but the shutter position may introduce shake. Focusing is also critical, I got a lot of blurred pictures, mainly with the aperture wide open.

I've taken the camera to the street. The weather was dull, I was forced to open the aperture and I got only a few sharp pictures.
