Agfa Clack, a classic snapshot camera.

This is a simple 50s camera made of bakelite, it takes 120 type roll film. There are very basic functions available but the camera is very stylish with a sharp lens, and it is easy to take pictures that are good. So the Agfa Clack can be regarded as medium format snapshot camera.
The leather case is beautiful too.

There is a lever for the shutter speeds, only options are I = 1/30sec and B = Bulb.
Another lever selects the aperture, 'Sunny', 'Cloudy' and close up, for subjects from 1 to 3 meters far.

I loaded the camera with a roll of 120 Ilford film. It can take 8 pictures sized 6x9 cm.
Here are the results

I was holding a yellow filter in front of the camera for the picture of the church to bring up the detail in the clouds.

With the close up setting
This was also with the close up setting and the yellow filter in front of the lens
This was blurred from camera shake, the 1/30th sec speed requires a steady hand.
This too was with the close up setting

All pictures were rephotographed and processed a bit, mainly contrast and exposure, as the photo labs here cannot scan the 6x9 negatives.

Sinpo AF10, some more

some more samples from the film taken with the Sinpo AF10 compact camera

The lens is very soft at the edges but for taking snapshots it is not very bad, adds a bit something to the picture.

some candids

Olympus AF-1 Twin, a fine compact camera

This is the Olympus AF-1 Twin, a camera with 2 focal lengths, a wide 35mm and a tele 70mm settings.

There is autofocus, a Tele/Wide button to select the focal length, a button for flash options and a button for the self timer.

I took some pictures that came out quite nice. The exposure system is very accurate.
Using the Wide setting

 not bad for candids

and some portraits with the Tele setting

Sinpo AF 10, cheap, plastic but not bad

The Sinpo AF 10 is an unknown plastic compact camera. I gave 1 euro for this at the street and did not find any information about it.

It has a panoramic setting, some flash options, a self timer and a B setting, first time I see it in plastic point 'n' shoots. There is autofocus and a programmable shutter aperture combination. No info about the focal length or the maximum aperture.

I took some pictures with it
It takes sharp pictures in the center, soft around the edges, needs more than two meter clearance from the subject.

Bencini Comet, out in the street.

I rolled a 135 film into a 127 spool with the original backing paper and put it in the Bencini Comet. I have placed two horizontal flaps in the camera's film frame. I also put some tape in the viewfinder. This way the field of view of the 55mm standard lens gets limited and becomes a small telephoto.

I took the camera out in the streets.  The f11 aperture of the camera needs good light for a 100/200 ASA film.
The film did not lay flat but this time the pictures had a smaller out of focus section.

I pressed the shutter twice in this one

I pressed some times the shutter here too...
