The Yashica T5 (or T4 Super in the US) is a simple point'n'shoot auto camera. However it has a waist level viewfinder that permits shooting from the hip, usefull for street photography. Flash is automatic on start up so it must be switched off with the flash button on top. For distant photos the infinity mode must be selected.
The camera has a long shutter lag. It takes some time to focus and then it releases the shutter. So, it needs a very steady hand and some patience, after the shutter button is pressed you must not move the camera, because the picture is not taken yet!
The camera favours short speeds and open apertures, so a fast film is required. I used a 400 ASA film and still had many shaken photos. Exposure is accurate, most of the time.
