Kodak Retinette Ib

This is a sturdy and good quality camera made by Kodak in West Gremany. My camera has a Rodenstock Reomar 45mm f/2.8 lens that looks sharp and of good quality. Focusing is manual having to guess the distance and select it on the lens. There are 3 common distances where the lens locks with a click.


 For the exposure control there is a selenium meter that is coupled with the aperture lever. First we select the desired speed and by moving the aperture lever a needle in the viewfinder must be set in the middle of a ruler, then a correct exposure is expected.


Unfortunately my camera has a very weak selenium cell that makes control of the exposure useless.
I also had to clean the camera, removed the lens and cleaned the shutter, but it was not mounted correctly, so my pictures were unfocused.
