Nikon Zoom 500Af, simple compact zoom camera
I found a Nikon Zoom 500 Af camera. It is a compact point'n'shoot with a 38-105mm lens. Aperture seems to be rather small around f5.6 (wide) to 9(tele)
There is an LCD display to change some settings like flash options, self timer and infinity setting.
The autofocus works only in the center of the frame and can not be memorized by half clicking the shutter. I also did not find a low light warning. There is a red led that lights up when a picture is focus and can be recorded.
I used an old 100 ASA film that expired in 2005. The negatives were very weak and needed some extra PP.
At wide aperture images look softer, at smaller apertures, in good light, images are sharper.
I used the Tele end here
Some candids

Practica M60, 2nd film
I had another film in the Praktica M60. The camera has a wide angle lens of 26mm and is very simple to use, just aim and press the shutter.
There is only one shutter speed and one aperture - it can have an extra slow speed in the night portrait mode only. It takes good pictures in sunshine and with the flash.
Here are some samples:
mannequins, converted to B/W
I used the forced flash option for the next two pictures

Halina 35-600, first test
The Halina 35-600 camera is an Olympus Trip clone. It has a 40mm f2.8 lens with zone focus but has an CDs metering cell that works with a 1,35V battery. The exposure system is automatic, the camera chooses aperture and shutter combination.
My camera can not work in auto mode as the battery compartment is faulty. However the camera is usable in flash mode, a single shutter speed (1/30 ?) is available and aperture is set with the lens ring. The shutter button needs a long and firm press that may lead to camera shake.
I loaded a 200 ASA film, here are some samples
I used a flash in these, it worked fine
The lens is sharp at small apertures, soft wide open, and the distance to subject must be measured accurately.
