Here are some more pictures taken with the Yashica J. The lens is sharp, and the shutter speeds are adequate for daylight pictures. The film used was a Kodak BW 400 CN.

 There are no parallax marks in the viewfinder so the framing for the close up shots is off!

Yashica J, simple operation - quality pictures

The Yashica J is a simple rangefinder camera. Shutter speeds are only 1/25, 1/50 1/100, 1/300 plus B.
Maximum aperture is f 2.8. Focusing is done with a rangefinder in the viewfinder.

 I loaded a Kodak CN400BW film.

Yashica J

This is a Yashica J, a simple manual camera with a 45mm/f2.8 lens. Metering has to be done with an external light meter.
The camera is well made but mine is not in very good condition.
The shutter is not working and will need a complex repair.

However it is a fine looking camera
