Kodak Retinette Ib

This is a sturdy and good quality camera made by Kodak in West Gremany. My camera has a Rodenstock Reomar 45mm f/2.8 lens that looks sharp and of good quality. Focusing is manual having to guess the distance and select it on the lens. There are 3 common distances where the lens locks with a click.

For the exposure control there is a selenium meter that is coupled with the aperture lever. First we select the desired speed and by moving the aperture lever a needle in the viewfinder must be set in the middle of a ruler, then a correct exposure is expected.

Unfortunately my camera has a very weak selenium cell that makes control of the exposure useless.
I also had to clean the camera, removed the lens and cleaned the shutter, but it was not mounted correctly, so my pictures were unfocused.

Here are the best of them, with a Fujifilm 100ASA

Kodak Vest Pocket, another try

This time I loaded a piece of 135 film on the backing paper of an 127 film.

All photos taken with the smaller apertures in bright light are blurred and burned out.
In low light with the B setting it got a little better.

it seems that light is leaking in when folding the camera

At bright conditions, too much light fogging the negative

Olympus GO 100, wide, simple and good

The Olympus GO 100 has a wide angle fixed lens of 28mm. There is only one aperture and one shutter speed around f5.6-f8 and 1/100 to 1/125th sec.
No need to focus, all objects within 1 to 20 meters get sharp.

There is a selector to open the camera and use the flash.

The operation is very quick and quite. Just press the shutter, the picture is taken smoothly and the motor advances the film with some extra noise.
